Airbnb WiFi QR Code: Guest Network Sign and Print Checklist | ScanFlick

Created on 1 October, 2026 • 0 views • 2 minutes read

Create a WiFi QR code for an Airbnb, holiday rental or guesthouse. Share guest-network access without typing the password, then test and print it responsibly.

For Airbnb hosts, holiday rentals and guesthouses

Make guest WiFi easier to join without printing the password in large type.

Create a QR with the exact network details, put it where guests need it and test it before arrival. Use a separate guest network where possible.

What an Airbnb WiFi QR needs

Exact network details

Enter the SSID, password, security type and hidden-network setting exactly as your router uses them.

A real guest network

Keep visitor devices separate from personal, staff or property-management equipment whenever the router supports it.

A useful placement

A welcome book, entry table or living-room information card gives guests an obvious place to scan.

A tested print

Test the exported PNG and the actual printed sign before the next guest arrives.

When to replace the WiFi QR code

A static WiFi QR contains fixed connection details. Replace it when the guest network name, password, security option or hidden-network status changes. The QR image may still scan after a change, but guests will not be able to join if the encoded details are old.

For a broader guest journey, a rental can use one stable WiFi QR and a separate code for the house guide, local recommendations or a support contact. Do not put unrelated actions behind the WiFi sign: one code should have one clear job.

If your phone does not offer a join action, use the network details in the welcome guide.

Keep the QR code on a light background with a clear border. Do not place it over a photo or pattern. A guest should be able to understand the purpose before opening the camera.

Create the QR, test it, then welcome guests.
